Kobalt Power Tools U.S.A., Inc. (KP uti) was founded in 2013 in San Diego, California, USA by John Deere and David Smith . They are two of the most successful businessmen in the world with over $4 billion dollars invested into their companies. Both men have been involved in the construction industry since they were young and both have worked together many times before when they had different ventures. Their company has become one of the leading manufacturers of heavy equipment in the United States. They are known for their quality products and their innovative designs.
The name “New Kobalt” comes from the fact that these new 24V x 2T tools will be manufactured in Europe instead of China. The name “XTR” stands for “Extreme Technology”. These are not your ordinary tools. They are designed to provide extreme performance at an affordable price.
In the past, there were no 24V x 2T tools available in the market. There were only 12V x 4T or 16V x 6T tools which could cost up to $10,000 each! Now that’s changed because of these new 24V x 2T power tools and batteries being developed by KP uti.
These tools have been designed from the ground up to be powerful, durable and long lasting. These tools will have a longer run time than any other tool in this class and are able to meet the most demanding applications. They are also much lighter weight than any other tool in this class, so using them all day is a breeze.
KP uti also has a new line of xtr batteries (accept no substitues! ) which are designed to be twice as powerful as any other battery in this class. The xtr batteries all have a fuel gauge so you’ll know exactly how much power is left. There will also be an external charger available so you won’t need to take the battery out of the tool to charge it. This external charger is capable of charging 2 xtr batteries simultaneously so you can have a fresh battery available whenever you need it.
What’s in the box?
These tools will come with the tool, one xtr battery (either 1.3Ah or 1.5Ah depending on which tool you purchased) a smart charger and a heavy duty hard case for storage and transportation.
