Milwaukee Area LED Lights: A Brief History
The first high bay lights were installed in Milwaukee in 1999 at the former Dreyer’s department store. These lights are known as Mil-Tech 3200 or M3200. They have been replaced with newer models such as the M6100 and M6600 which are capable of producing up to 500 lumens each (more than twice what these old ones could produce).
In 2001, the city of Milwaukee started installing its own high bay lights, but they were not connected to the utility grid. The city was able to do so because it had purchased two companies that manufactured their own high bay lights. These companies were called Milwaukee Radius LED High Bay Light and Milwaukee M12 LED High Bay Light.
Since then, other cities around Wisconsin have begun purchasing these products from these manufacturers.
Milwaukee Area LEDs: A Summary Of Their Features And Benefits?
Milwaukee area LED high bay lights come in many different shapes and sizes. Some of them are small enough to fit into a briefcase, while others can be as large as a full size refrigerator. All of them use a fluorescent tube filled with mercury vapor to emit light. The tubes are usually made out of hard plastic, but some are made out of metal like the one pictured above.
These lights are known for their energy efficiency. They last longer than incandescent lights, florescent lights, halogen lights, and even newer high bay lights that use light emitting diodes. The average lifespan of a fluorescent bulb is around twenty thousand hours.
This means that it should last at least five years if it is used for eight hours every day. If used for only four hours a day, then the life span increases to around ten years.
On the other hand, if you use a high bay light that uses LEDs then you should get around fifty thousand hours of life from each bulb. If you use this type of bulb for eight hours a day, then you can expect it to last for roughly seven years. However, if you only use it for four hours a day then it should last for fifteen years or longer.
This makes them ideal for factories as well as office buildings which tend to keep their lights on all the time.
These lights also last longer because they do not contain a filament which can easily burn out. Instead, they use electrons flowing through a wire to create light. Despite this fact, they are extremely safe.
They contain no ultraviolet rays, infrared rays, or x-rays which makes them much safer to use around flammable materials. If you accidentally break the bulb then you don’t have to worry about the release of poisonous gasses. This reduces your liability as well as prevents fires.
Finally, these lights are easy to install. They usually come with a metal cage which can be attached to a ceiling. You can also get flexible hangers which can be attached to beams or any other sturdy location.
This flexibility makes it easier for you to move them from one location to another if necessary.
These lights are not perfect though. Some of the older models hum which can be quite annoying. This can be fixed by using a surge suppressor, but many of the cheaper models do not come with this feature.
Despite their long life span, they still cost more up front than their short lifespan would imply. This cost can be prohibitive to smaller businesses and those on a tight budget.
Despite these flaws, these lights are still great for many different industrial applications. If you are thinking about getting some for your business then you should consider purchasing some Milwaukee area LEDs.
Brightness Of High Bay Lights
High bay lights are typically mounted on the ceiling of a warehouse, manufacturing facility or other areas where there is a lot of floor space that needs to be illuminated. The term “high bay” refers to the height that these lights are mounted at which is generally around twelve feet or higher off the ground. Some high bay lights are also mounted on the walls instead.
These types of lights are able to illuminate large areas and in most cases eliminate the need for a person to have to walk around with a flashlight to find something that has been dropped or misplaced on the floor. This type of lighting can also prevent accidents caused by a person tripping over objects on the floor that may be hard to see such as wires, cables or other items.
There are different types of high bay lights. Most are bright enough to light an entire warehouse, garage or other areas without any problem. A few models are also able to light an area outside as well.
The type of bulb that is used in these lights can vary from natural sunlight spectrum bulbs to warmer colored bulbs which are similar to incandescent light bulbs.
Different types of high bay lights are available such as open and enclosed fixtures. Enclosed fixtures protect the light source from dirt and other particles that may be in the air. A closed fixture will generally last longer since it is not being exposed to the elements.
However, open fixtures generally provide brighter light. There are also different sizes of fixtures available depending on the size of the area that needs to be illuminated and how high off the ground the lights need to be mounted.
Consider installing high bay lights in your facility. Not only will your employees safety be increased dramatically, but your facility will be better lit as well. This will allow your employees to be more efficient and productive.
Light Emitting Diodes And Their Benefits
Many people are familiar with the term LEDs, but few really know what they are or how they can benefit you in your lighting needs. You may have heard the term before and were unsure of what it meant exactly. Here is a brief introduction into what they are and why you might want to consider using them instead of the incandescent bulbs or the compact fluorescent bulbs that you might currently have in your home.
First though it is important to note that LEDs are very different from the other types of lighting discussed here. The incandescent and CFL bulbs both produce light through the stimulation of electrons within a closed space, however the LEDs use technology that stimulates light production from compounds found in plastic instead. This is why they are able to produce light, even when only one side of the bulb produces the energy needed to power it.
There are some downsides though to using LEDs though. One main issue is the cost of producing them as well as their general cost to the consumer. However as with most new technologies, as time goes on you can expect the prices to come down.
The other disadvantage to using this form of lighting, is that the light they produce can sometimes seem harsh, and not as natural looking as incandescent bulbs. They also do not work as well for areas where you need a lot of incandescent lighting such as in a stairway or an entryway.
Still, if you are looking for a long life light bulb that will save you money in the long run, then this is the type of bulb to buy. They can last for up to 10 times longer than other traditional light bulbs and use seventy percent less energy.
They also come in various shapes and sizes such as the classic A-19 shape, but also in flood lights and even recessed lighting. This adds versatility to your lighting options making LEDs a great choice for lighting your home or office.
The light that is given off by these bulbs is very natural looking and while they may be a little expensive to purchase initially, the fact that they last so long will more than make up for it in the long run. It will actually end up saving you money in the long haul as you won’t need to replace them as often as you would other types of bulbs.
The light that is given off by LEDs is also very pleasant and looks very similar to the quality of light that is given off by incandescent bulbs. This type of lighting is great for homes or businesses that want to have a retro feel. They are also great in display cases where you want to highlight a certain artifact and give it a vibrant look without the glare of standard lighting.
Overall LEDs are a great choice for lighting. They may cost a little bit more up front, but their longevity and energy efficient design makes them well worth the initial cost. If you are looking for a long life lighting solution for your home or business then this is a great choice.
For anyone who has had the unfortunate infestation of dermestidae (carpet beetles) in their home, they know how frustrating and devastating an infestation of these pests can be. Once you have discovered an infestation of these insects, it is important to take immediate action and find the source of the infestation as soon as possible. There are many different ways that these tiny, yet destructive pests can get inside your home and begin to breed.
Once they have found their way inside your home, they can quickly reproduce and spread throughout the entire house.
Once you think that you may have a dermestidae infestation, it is important to find the source of the infestation and take the necessary steps to eradicate the tiny insects from your home as soon as possible.
What do carpet beetles look like?
Carpet beetles, also known as dermestidae, are very small pests that can be very destructive to your personal belongings and home. These tiny insects have a brown outer shell with little hairs all over their bodies. They are very small, but they can quickly reproduce and spread throughout your home very quickly. Carpet beetles are most often mistaken for other smaller insects such as booklice and grains weevils. It is important to remember that these insects are very small, so simply looking at the insects will not tell you what you are dealing with. The only way to identify the problem is to take the insect into a bright room or out in the sun to have a look at it. Another identifying factor of dermestidae is that they love to breed and eat various types of animal matter such as fur, wool, and other animal fibers.
Are carpet beetles dangerous?
While carpet beetle infestations aren’t known to spread diseases or cause physical harm, they can completely destroy personal belongings that contain animal fur and wool. If you see small piles of fine, white dust around your home, then you are probably dealing with a carpet beetle infestation. These piles are the larvae excrement, and it is commonly found around the areas that the insects are breeding and feeding. While these insects are not known to spread disease, they can cause thousands of dollars of property damage if left untreated.
Do carpet beetles fly?
Carpet beetles do not actually fly; however, they are very capable of moving from one area to another with ease. It is common for these tiny insects to hitch a ride inside boxes, bags, and anywhere else that people and household objects are moved around. They can also be transferred from place to place on pets and animals as well.
Do carpet beetles bite?
Carpet beetles do not bite people or animals; however, like most insects they can leave people and animals with irritated skin from their prickly hairs.

Signs of a carpet beetle infestation
Locating the source of the infestation is essential to ridding your home of carpet beetles. It is important that you look for the fine white dust that is excrement from the carpet beetle larvae. Look in areas such as carpet folds, underneath furniture, and inside closets.
It is also a good idea to check any items that you bring inside your home. Carpet beetles are very common hitchhikers and can easily be transferred from place to place. If you have items that you suspect may have carpet beetles on them, place those items in a plastic bag and freeze the items for at least a week. Doing so will kill any living carpet beetles that may be present.
Carpet beetle prevention
Preventing an infestation of carpet beetles is very important. Carpet beetles are very common insects and finding them in your home isn’t always due to a lack of cleanliness or hygiene. A few simple steps can go a long way into preventing a carpet beetle infestation.
1. Regularly check new items that come inside your home: As mentioned above, it is very easy for carpet beetles to hitch a ride from place to place on clothing, boxes, furniture, and other items.
Before bringing new items inside your home, check them thoroughly before bringing them inside.
2. Store items properly: If you have items that you are storing away for a long period of time, such as holiday decorations, it is important that you keep these items in a cool, dry place.
Items that are stored for long periods of time in damp areas provide the perfect breeding ground for carpet beetles.
3. Properly discard unwanted items: If you have unwanted furniture or other household items that you wish to discard, make sure to discard them properly.
Don’t just leave them on the side of the road or out in the open. If possible take these items to a recycling center or find a donation center that will accept them.
