How to Use It
Place the grass bag onto the mower. The rear end should be secured in place first before you attach the top part.
Fill the tank with petrol. The manufacturer recommends that you use 95 octane or above, however, if you’re mowing grass in your yard, regular unleaded will do. Never use diesel or ethanol as these can damage some of the parts.
Next, place the oil container into the filling area until it is full. Add one bottle of oil. The level should be marked on the outside of the container.
Do not overfill.
Put on the safety glasses. These should have come with the mower.
Make sure that the throttle trigger is in the off position before attaching the grass catcher and any other tools or attachments that came with your purchase.
Place the mower on a flat surface and use the handles at the back to push it forward. You only need to apply slight pressure for it to start moving.
Release the handle once you’re at the desired slope. The mower will continue to roll on its own.
To stop the mower, simply press down on the brake bar, found at the front. This works best when it’s slightly angled.
Adjust the cutting height to match your desired preference. The highest setting is 3 inches, while the lowest is 0.5 inches.
Place the safety key into the ignition and turn it to the first position. Wait until the blade has completely stopped spinning before attempting to remove the key.
Turn the throttle trigger to the position you desire. The farther you push it, the faster the mower will go.
Push the mower forward using the handles until you reach the starting point. To turn, simply lean into the direction of the turn and pull on that side’s handle to steer.
The grass catcher will fill up quickly so empty it whenever it starts to get full.

The Bottom Line
Out of all the mowers that we’ve looked at, the Honda HRR216K9VKA is our most favorite. We really like its powerful engine and its multiple features. In fact, it’s one of the best electric start mowers out there.
We also love how easy it is to maneuver and how smoothly it cuts the grass. It’s definitely worth the price.
If you don’t have quite as much money or you’re looking for something that’s a little more basic, we recommend the Remington RM1018C instead. It’s about $100 cheaper but it still gets the job done well.
Enjoy your mowing!
