Orbital sanders and belt sanders, What’s the difference? The two main types of sanders that most people are familiar with are orbital sanders and belt sanders. They both accomplish the same task, which is to get rid of unwanted material, but they do it in slightly different ways.

Dual Action VS Orbital Sander

That’s really the only difference between the two, and it’s all personal preference as to which one you’d be more comfortable using. In terms of which one is better, that’s up for debate.
