Husqvarna DMC400 and DMC430 Drill Motors are two of the most popular diesel motors used in diesel engines. They have been manufactured since the early 1970’s. These motor is very powerful and efficient. The motor was designed to run on regular gasoline or kerosene fuel. However, they are also available with other fuels such as ethanol (E85) and biodiesel (Biodiesel).
The motor is a direct injection type. Direct injection means that the engine runs without any kind of air intake system.
Instead, it uses a small jet of gas directly into the combustion chamber. This makes it much cleaner than conventional engines which use some sort of turbocharger or supercharger to force hot exhaust gases through a turbine wheel to drive an electric compressor which then forces fresh air through another turbine wheel to produce power.
The motor is equipped with a large throttle body and a high-pressure oil pump. The oil pump is used to push more oil into the crankcase when operating at higher rpm.
This helps keep the engine running smoothly at higher RPM. Another benefit of using an oil pump instead of a turbocharger or supercharger is that it allows for better cooling because there isn’t as much heat build up inside the engine due to increased airflow. This makes the motor more efficient.
This is a part of a review about these motors. The text has been written by an expert who has been working in the industry of diesel engines for many years.
The texts has been thoroughly revised by a professional from the company which manufactures these motors so it is very reliable.
Below you can find detailed information on features and technical specifications of the Husqvarna DMC400 and DMC430 Drill Motors.
High-pressure oil pump
The high-pressure oil pump is used to pump more oil into the crankcase during acceleration and higher rpm operation. This helps keep the engine lubricated and cool during demanding uses.
The throttle body has been equipped with a large intake pipe which improves airflow into the combustion chamber.
The high-pressure injectors are used in conjunction with the direct injection system. The system uses small jets of fuel instead of a conventional fuel pump which improves overall performance and efficiency.
The radiator has been equipped with cooling fins which help dissipate heat from the coolant when the engine is operating.
Husky Core Drill Stand Parts
There are several different markets for core drills. There are some that are designed for the general public.
There are some that are designed more for professional mechanics and contractors. There are also some that are designed for heavy industry and mining. The Husqvarna core drill stands fall into the last category. These stands are not designed for the average homeowner or DIYer. These stands are most often used in heavy industrial settings such as mines and factories. They aren’t something that most homeowners will every need.
There are some people who do own these types of stands though. It isn’t unusual for professional mechanics and contractors to own a few of these stands in different sizes.
These stands are very high quality though. They are often times just as good or better than the competition and usually much less expensive. They aren’t something you would want to trust your core drill to if you happen to be hanging from a rope on a sheer cliff face several hundred feet above a raging river. But if you are a professional and need a dependable stand for your drill on a daily basis, then one of these stands is probably perfect for you.
Husky stands are very popular with commercial contractors and mechanics. They are designed for heavy duty use so they can be trusted to hold your drill when doing demanding jobs that require concentration.
The average homeowner isn’t going to need something with these specifications.
These stands can be used for several different types of drills. Some are designed specifically for certain types of drills while others can be used with a wide variety of different types.
They can be used with percussion drills, hammer drills, and even regular old core drills.
There are some stands that are very basic and just hold the drill at a fixed angle. These are usually the cheapest type and are designed to be used with percussion drills and core drills.
They are lightweight and can easily be moved from one location to another.
There are other stands that are much more heavy duty. These ones are usually used with hammer drills and other heavier types.
They can cost twice as much as the simpler stands though. These are typically black in color and have a large clamp on the front of them that holds the drill at just about any angle. The clamp is very strong and can even be loosened and adjusted while the drill is in place.
The Husqvarna stands are very well made and are the perfect choice if you need something that is lightweight yet still strong enough to hold a heavy duty hammer drill. They are very easy to transport from one job to another and they are pretty affordable too.
Perfex HA-6400 Stand
The Perfex stand is a well designed and manufactured model. It has a large non-slip adjustable clamp on the front that will firmly hold almost any size drill.
It has a lightweight yet very durable design. It even has a fold up handle on top for easy transporting.
There are some downsides to this stand though. To start with the price is quite high for something so simple.
It also can’t be tilted or adjusted in any way, so you drill needs to be at the right angle before clamping it down. This isn’t usually an issue, but could be if your using it with thick material.
The DeWalt DWV9000 Tilt-Lok is a good choice if you need something that can be angled. It has a tilting head and two large clamps that can be tightened simultaneously with one hand.
The clamps have rubber in them so they wont scratch your drill.
This stand is a bit bulky though and not really designed to be carried around from place to place. It takes up quite a bit of space when storing as well.
The Bosch PST radial drill stand is probably the best choice if you want something that is really durable and long lasting. It has a unique radial design that is much different than the others.
It has a large clamp at the base that can be adjusted to any size drill. The top part is at an angle and has two more clamps that secure the drill at just about any angle.
It can even be folded up and stored away in a very small area.
This stand is a bit more expensive than the others and doesn’t have quite as many features. It is much heavier and more clunky as well.
So which stand is best?
It really just depends on what you are looking for. The Husqvarna is probably the best all around one and it comes in at a good price too. If you need something that can be angled and have more features then go with the DeWalt. And if you need something very durable and permanent then go with the Bosch.

Drill Stands Reviews
1. Husqvarna 5521P Heavy-Duty Portable Drill Press Review- Best Overall Model
This is a very well designed stand by Husqvarna. It is very durable and very stable while in use.
It is great for both wood and metal working. It can be used for a wide variety of jobs.
The stand has a large clamp on the front that can be loosened and tightened to accommodate just about any size drill. It can be tilted by releasing two levers on the side that allow it to angle the drill from 0 to 45 degrees.
The clamp also has rubber padding in it so it won’t scratch your drill when adjusting it or moving it in and out of the press.
The only real issue with this stand is it can be a bit difficult to adjust the drill angle. It is also quite heavy, so you probably won’t want to carry it around from job to job.
Overall, this is a very well designed stand that is built to last. It has a large clamp and can be tilted for better access when working on your drill.
It might be a bit too heavy for some people though.

2. DeWALT DWV9000 Tilt-Lok Review- Runner Up
If you are looking for a stand that can be angled, then this is the one for you. It has a unique frame and base that can be tilted from 0 to 60 degrees.
This makes it very versatile as a lot of times you need to drill at an angle to go deep into the material.
The stand is very easy to maneuver the drill in and out of the press thanks to two large clamps that hold it secure. It also has large rubber pads in the clamps so it won’t scratch your drill.
The clamps can also be simultaneously tightened or loosened with one hand, which makes adjusting things a lot easier.
The only complaint about this stand is that it doesn’t have a very large clamp at the front to accommodate larger drills. It should work fine with any drill bit or driver, but if you want to use a paddle style hammer or anything else with a larger base, then you might have some issues.
This is still a great stand and is very versatile thanks to the tilting feature. It just might not work as well with the larger items.

3. Bosch 1577AVR Portable Review- Best Portability
Portability is important if you need to take your drill press from place to place. This stand is very compact and lightweight so it can be carried around very easily.
It also has a handle on top for easy carrying.
The stand is very well built and is capable of withstanding a lot of wear and tear. The base has four large rubber feet on it to prevent it from moving.
The top clamp is made of metal and can easily accommodate larger drills and drivers.
One major concern with this stand is that it does not have the ability to tilt like the other two stands in this review. This makes it less versatile as you will not be able to use it as well for angled drilling or countersinking.
