Ferris 2100Z ZT Mower Review:
The Ferris 2100Z ZT Mower is a new model from Milwaukee Motor Company (MMC). It was launched in March 2012.
The zeroth generation of the 2150 series were introduced in 2008. The 2150Z features a number of improvements over its predecessor, including improved gas mileage, better handling characteristics and a lower price tag.
The 2150Z is equipped with a 1.8L 4 cylinder engine which produces 120hp.
The motor provides power for all operating functions such as starting, running and idling. Powering the 2150Z are two electric motors that provide steering control. A front wheel drive system allows the 2150Z to operate on any type of road surface and at speeds up to 20mph (32km/h).
The 2150Z’s 2WD system makes it suitable for off-road use. It is capable of operating on surfaces ranging from hard packed dirt to loose gravel and even sand.
The 2150Z has a top speed of 15 mph (24 km/h) and can reach a maximum range of 35 miles (56 km). The 2150Z can mow areas as large as 1.75 acres in one hour.
The 2150Z is equipped with a number of safety features. The operator can apply the parking brake to keep the 2150Z stationary.
The operator can also apply the blade brake to stop the spinning blades without stopping the engine or even releasing the clutch. The seat belt reduces injuries that may occur from sudden stops or turns.
The 2150Z is equipped with a number of easy to read gauges that provide information on speed, engine temperature and fuel levels. It also features an hour meter that records the total operating time of the machine.
The 2150Z has a seat designed especially for the comfort and safety of the operator.
On February 6, 2012 the 2150Z was named the winner of the 2012 ATA Gold shovel award in the category of “New Walk-Behind Mowers”. This is the first time a Ferris product has won this prestigious award.

The 2150Z is designed to provide years of reliable service. There are some parts though that will need to be replaced after prolonged use.

• Blades – These blades are attached to the spinning plate. The blades cut the grass and mulch it.
The 2150Z features durable cast aluminum blades that provide superior mulching ability and last up to three times longer than conventional steel blades.
