Dremel 8200: Our Verdict
Dremel 8200 is very affordable and suitable for home use. The fact that it comes with twenty different attachments means that you will not need to spend any extra money to buy additional attachments. This is definitely the rotary tool to buy if you are on a tight budget.
Do not expect this tool to do heavy duty work. We do not recommend that you use this rotary tool for tasks such as cutting through metal and brick. For such tasks, you will need a rotary tool which runs on an external power source.
If you only need to perform light cutting, sanding, polishing and engraving jobs around the house, then this rotary tool should serve your needs. We think it is a very good value for the money.

You can buy the Dremel 8200 directly from the manufacturer’s website or from various online retails stores. One such store is amazon. At the time of writing, the rotary tool had a list price of $119.99 but it was offered at a discounted price of $89.99 with free shipping.
If you are not in a hurry to buy this tool, then you may want to wait until there is a sale. From our experience, it is not uncommon for this tool to be sold at a discounted price of $80 or even less.
Do not buy second hand Dremel rotary tools. These rotary tools have moving parts which get very hot. Even when they appear to be functioning properly, there can be unseen damage. Always go for a brand new Dremel rotary tool.
