Lead-Acid – Also known as “Car Batteries”, these are generally the heaviest type of battery. They are designed to provide large bursts of power, and are most commonly found in vehicles. They can also be charged, but need to be upright in order to do so.

Which Is Better: Rechargeable Or Disposable?

The choice between disposable and rechargeable batteries is an important one, and one which you’ll need to make based on your circumstances. Rechargeable batteries are typically more expensive than disposables, and it takes a significant amount of time to “break even” on your investment.

For example, let’s compare the Duracell Coppertop battery and the EBL Smart Battery Charger. The Duracell battery charger costs $19.99, and allows you to charge four AA batteries at once.
