DeWalt Cordless 7-Inch Polisher DCM849P2 Reviewed By: alexander from United States on 5/25/2016 Rating: Not yet rated
Pros: Good price Cons: No instructions for use; no warranty; no cleaning brush included; pad not large enough for all types of paint Considered by many to be one of the best value polishers available!
I have owned this product since it was released in 2009. I used it for several years until recently when my son (who is now 10) asked me if I could get him a new one.
My daughter (now 16) wanted a new one too, but she had already bought her first one and she didn’t want to give up hers so she insisted on getting another one. She loves using it and says its much better than mine!
The only thing I don’t like about this product is that there are no instructions for use. There is a small sticker with some words on it that says “Do not operate if damaged.” However, the instruction manual does NOT come with this product.
You must purchase it separately or look online for how to use it. If you do buy the manual, then you will need to read through it carefully before beginning your cleaning task. Another thing about this product is that there are no cleaning brushes included or available. However, you can improvise and use some Q-tips for smaller crevices and surfaces.
This is a cordless polisher so naturally it would be better to have a cord attached. This is perfect for anyone who is looking for something to clean just about anything around the house or garage.
It’s not too heavy and it feels somewhat comfortable in my hands. The vibration is minimal and the weight of the machine is not enough to cause fatigue. The pads are soft but durable and washable.
This is a great tool for anyone who needs a small but powerful polisher for any types of paint or finish. The price is very reasonable and it’s easy to use.
I would definitely buy this again if something happened to mine.
On the side of the box, it says “lightweight with less vibration” and “variable speed for different jobs.” I would definitely agree with both of these statements.
This is a great cordless polisher for small projects around the house. I love it and so do my kids! There are many different types of pads that you can buy for this product, so you have many applications for different types of jobs. I used it mainly for paint, but I know people who have used it on brick, vinyl, and even hardwood floors!
The product is well made and durable. The pads are soft enough that they won’t damage the surface being used on but firm enough to do the job properly.
You can buy this at most major box stores or online. There are different sizes available too, so you can choose the size that will work best for your particular needs.
I would recommend this for anyone who needs a reliable easy to use cordless polisher.
The only con about this product is there are no cleaning brushes included. However, you can improvise and use some Q-Tips for smaller crevices and surfaces.
Just remember that the pads are washable so you don’t need to waste your money on buying new pads if you run out.
