DeWALT 60V FlexVolt Cordless Pipe Threader Review: What’s it all About?

The most common question that comes up when people are asked what they like to do for fun, is “What do you like to do?” For some reason, the answer seems to always include something with a computer or electronics aspect. That’s not necessarily wrong; there are many things that I enjoy doing online such as playing games, watching movies and listening to music. However, I have found that my interests tend to be more varied than just those two areas. For example, I love reading books and I’m also into photography. When it comes down to it though, if you want me to tell you what kind of person I am then I’d say that my hobbies are generally “more” than your average Joe.

I don’t really like talking about myself too much, but sometimes I think it would be nice to share a little bit of my life with someone else. Unfortunately, it seems like I am either too busy or not ready to share this part of my life with other people. Hence why I’m writing about it on my brand new blog! Hopefully I’ll get into the swing of things and actually make a habit out of writing in the next few weeks.

Check back then to see if I’ve expanded my views on anything!

So what was I talking about again?

Oh yes, hobbies!

I like to think that I have multiple hobbies. I suppose you could consider photography to be one of them due to how much time I spend taking pictures. However, it’s different than my other hobbies mainly because it’s something that I’m trying to make a career out of. My other main hobby is woodworking.

I got into woodworking mainly because I needed a new desk for my room. I didn’t just want some ugly desk that had the parts made out of pressed paper and the surface made out of some hard plastic, so I decided to make one. That was like four years ago and since then I’ve made a coffee table, book shelf, night stand, and much more.

Not only have my skills improved, but I’ve gotten recognized for them in the form of people wanting me to build stuff for them. Granted it’s not a full time living or anything, but I really enjoy doing it. It’s just nice to receive thanks and appreciation for what I build. A sense of pride swells inside of me when someone tells me how great a particular piece is that I’ve made.

I suppose that I’m pretty lucky that way. There are some people who just don’t have any hobbies. I don’t know how they can exist with out getting some sort of joy out of doing something other than their everyday life.

Me?

I couldn’t imagine not having woodworking in my life. Even if I become a world famous photographer, I know that I’ll always find time to come back to the passion that is woodworking.

Until next time!

Entry 3

Hey everybody! If you’re reading this, then it must mean that you’re interested in what I have to write about each week. Thanks for that! I’m glad to know that someone is actually reading this!

Anyway, now that the introductions are over, let’s get on with this week’s topic. Woodworking! Woodworking is something that I find to be very fun and enjoyable. When I’m building something new, I spend most of my free time planning it out and finding the right pieces of wood to do the job.

Sometimes it takes hours just to find the perfect piece!

When I finally get to the actual building part, there is no feeling quite like it. Though it can be very tedious and requires a lot of focus, when you’re actually done building and see something great, it’s all worth it.

I’ve gotten a lot of requests to build things for people. More than I could ever get done, that’s for sure. I always have to turn down some requests, but when I can, I always try to help out. A lot of the time, I accept these requests as challenges to see if I can actually build what they want me to build.

If I don’t think I can do it, I won’t take the request.

Of course, I’m not a complete idiot. If I think the request is going to be really hard, then I’ll always ask for more money. If the person is desperate enough for the thing they want built, then they’ll agree to my price. It’s worked out pretty well for me so far.

The main reason why I’m writing this is because I finally got around to building my own guitar! Not just any guitar though, a banjo!

I’ve been playing the banjo for quite some time now and it was always a thought in the back of my mind that I would build myself one. I’m not sure why it took me so long to actually do it, but one day I just started building it.

I had to look up some instructions online and got to work. It took a lot longer than I expected and required a lot more tools that I thought, but I finally finished it!

I’ve been playing it for the past couple days and it sounds great! It was totally worth all of the work. I’ll definitely be building more instruments like this in the future.
