Cordless Rockwell Sonicrafter Oscillating Tool Review
The first thing to mention is that there are many different types of sonicrafters. There are those which have been made by various companies such as: Galax, Galvan, Rockwell, etc…and then there are those which were made by other manufacturers such as: Hitec, Larkon, Miele, Dremel, etc…etc..
There are several things that differentiate these sonicrafters from each other. Some of them have better features than others.
But all of them are capable of doing what they do very well. So if you want to buy one, you will need to make your choice based upon factors such as price, size, features, and performance.
Rockwell cordless sonicrafters are the most popular ones. They are available in a wide variety of sizes and prices.
The main advantage of using a rockwell cordless sonicrafter is that it does not require batteries or recharging, unlike some other models. It uses its own power source to run itself so you don’t need to worry about running out of juice when you aren’t using it.
The model that I own is called the Rockwell Sonicrafter RK6012K. It’s a very light weight cordless oscillating tool and it has an easy grip handle on top, which makes it very comfortable to use.
It comes with a blade holder and wrench and comes with a carrying case. It’s not too large or too small, making it the perfect size for your toolbox or toolbelt.
It is very easy to use and has a nice “feel” to it. I am able to get a lot of work done with this thing and the blades are easy to change.
It cuts through wood, metal, plastic and drywall like a hot knife through butter. The only thing this tool can’t cut is concrete.
But what do you expect from a cordless oscillating tool?
Everything else is pretty much “purdy” (for those of you who remember the old “Chew-Chew” commercials).
I have had this tool for at least 2 years now and I’ve never had any problems with it. It’s lightweight and very durable.
It seems to be made out of heavy duty plastic, metal, and rubber. The blades are easy to change and the battery seems to last a long time.
The only “problem” I’ve ever had is the battery cover comes off sometimes when I go to put the battery in it. But this is a very minor problem and can be easily fixed with a small amount of “crazy glue” or tape.
If you are looking for a new cordless power tool, then you should consider buying one of these. You will not be disappointed.
The second thing to mention is that cordless rockwell sonicrafter oscillating tools have a very strong fan base. If you don’t believe this then you can do a google search and see for yourself.
However, there are some people out there who say that cordless rockwell sonicrafter tools are the “cat’s meow”. While other people will not even consider the possibility of buying one.
Myself, I think they are great tools. They are easy to use and lightweight.
I can’t understand why anyone wouldn’t like these things. The only “bad point” about them is that the battery doesn’t last as long as some people would like it to. But this can be easily remedied by having a spare battery handy.
Anyway, that’s just my two cents worth. I hope this has helped you in some small way.
Thanks for letting me share.
And here is a video of a guy using his cordless rockwell sonicrafter.
