Copperhead Snake Bites Lowes Customer!
In the article below we will share with you the most common symptoms of copperhead bites. If your pet experiences any of these symptoms then it means that he or she is bitten by a copperhead snake.
You may want to take some necessary precautions before seeking medical attention for your pet.
1) Redness around bite site.
2) Pain at bite site.
4) Difficulty breathing or swallowing.
(This symptom may occur even if no venom was injected into the body. )
5) Increased heart rate.
The first thing to do is to get rid of the snake. First of all, you need to remove the dead animal from your home.
Then you need to call the police and inform them about what happened so they can come quickly and safely. Do not try to catch or kill the snake yourself because it could cause more harm than good. The best thing to do is wait for the authorities to come and get it after calling them.
The second thing that you need to do is to keep the pet calm and bring it immediately to a veterinarian. Some people just bring their pets directly to the nearest animal hospital but as soon as possible.
Copperheads are pit vipers they have good vision and they depend greatly on it for hunting .They are timid creatures and want nothing more than to be left alone.
They prefer to spend most of their time in the undergrowth or in the trees that provide excellent cover.
These snakes are not aggressive and will only attack if they feel threatened. They are defensive creatures that will attack if they feel like their life is in danger and will release a foul smelling musk from their vents to ward off enemies when threatened.
The best way to prevent a snake bite is to use your eyes. If you see a snake stay away from it or make a lot of noise so that the snake has time to move away.
Snakes can strike at a distance of one third of their body length so be sure to give them space. In addition snakes do not attack unless they feel threatened so if you leave them alone they will more than likely leave you alone.
If you happen to see a snake, especially one that is coiled and ready to strike then you should definitely keep your distance. These snakes will often strike even if you are just standing nearby.
If this does happen then you should get away as soon as possible and seek immediate medical help.
Another thing that may cause a snake to attack is if you happen to step on them accidently. Most snakes will bite and release rather than cling on and bite so if this happens take note of the type of snake that bit you so that you know what kind of antivenin injection you need.
Of course if it is a venomous snake that clings on and won’t let go then you need to get the hell out of there as fast as possible and get medical attention right away.
Snakes also hunt warm blooded prey at night so be especially careful at night when outdoors. Most people who are bit are doing something they shouldn’t be doing at the time.
It is important to remember that not all snakes are dangerous .There are many non-venomous snakes so if you see one you don’t need to panic.
Just leave it alone and give it a chance to leave you alone. The only kind of snake that you really need to worry about is the venomous variety.
If you get bitten by a snake then you will need anti-venin. This is only available from a specialized hospital and even then it is not always available.
It is important that you get to the hospital quickly if you are bit. The antivenin needs to be administered within four hours for best results otherwise the effectiveness goes down hill rapidly after that time period.
These hospitals are few and far between and they likely won’t have the antivenin you need even if you get there on time. If you can get to a larger city though then you should be able to find help.
It may be possible to make antivenin yourself but you will need a recipe to do so. These are very hard to come by as they are carefully guarded by those who have them.
I doubt if you will be able to get your hands on one any time soon if ever.
Why don’t we have the froggie version of the antidote around here?
Because that isn’t an option Captain. The antidote is only made by one place in the former US and it goes to the larger population centers first. We don’t keep antidotes to everything just the common stuff. If you get something rare we might be able to get it but that isn’t likely. In this case try to not get bit again.
After the briefing, you make your way back to your tent. As you are walking back Crocker and a few of his cronies approach you.
“Hey Shadow, heard you pulled off a major coup for the cause!” he says as they surround you.
Um, yeah I guess but what does it matter?”
you ask a little suspicious of his sudden friendliness.
“Oh nothing, just looking for someone to send to go get some stuff for me. Go ahead and pick someone to go with you.”
You think about it for a moment and decide that this is going to be a set up for Crocker to kill you. You aren’t sure why he would, but you aren’t going to wait around to find out.
Trouble is all the other Rebels are around the campfire with you and you would have to pass by them to get to your gun. You could try to speed past Crocker but that isn’t likely to work as he is a lot bigger than you are and is also a lot closer than anyone else.
You do have your knife though.
As you think about it, the other Rebels start to notice Crocker and his friends there with you.
“Um, I name my firstborn child after you if you go get this stuff for me.” Crocker says trying to bribe you.
How about you name the kid after me if you survive this little task?”
one of his buddies adds.
You look at the options of going to get the stuff with someone else or trying to take on all of them yourself.
Your best bet might be to just take out Crocker right now but how this is going to play out will depend a lot on how many people he has with him.
Make your decision!
! A: Take On Everyone Yourself To Hell With The Consequences!
! B: Go With Him And Get The Meds Yourself!
! A: You’ve Decided To Take On Everyone, You Don’t Have Time To Be Choosy!
! As soon as everyone stands up from their chairs you pull out your knife and throw it right into the neck of the guy next to Crocker. He makes a horrible gurgling noise and falls to the ground while everyone else draws their weapons in shock.
“Wha…He…You…” Crocker sputters before you leap over the table and land a heavy punch to his face.
He crumples to the ground with several teeth strewn on the floor. You drop down and grab his revolver from his holster and point it at everyone else who has now started drawing their weapons and pointing them at you.
“Alright, alright, calm the hell down!” you shout.
What the hell do you think you are doing?”
one of them shouts back
“I’m in charge until I say otherwise!
Who’s with me?”
You look around and see that you now have most of the people on your side. A few of the older ones try to stand there, arguing that they don’t want to start a war but they soon fall in line as well when they see the rest have sided with you.
“Good! Now we need to take some things and go, there isn’t much time.
You lot start gathering up the heavy weapons, food, meds and anything else useful. I want to be out of here in five minutes!”
You quickly make your way to the Captains quarters where he sleeps and try to open the door. It’s locked.
“Hey! Open this door it’s an order!” you shout but there is no response.
“Goddammit, open this door now!”
“I can’t sir, he’s locked it from the inside.” a voice says.
Why the hell is he doing that?”
you ask no one in particular.
“Beause he’s a crazy son-of-a-bitch that’s why!” another voice adds.
You don’t have time to think about and you kick the door in.
