Bosch Router Table Review (RA1181)
The Bosch RA1181 router is a very popular model. The company offers several models with different features and prices. The most common feature of all these routers are their ability to connect up to four computers at the same time. Another major benefit of the Bosch RA1181 is its portability.
They come in various sizes and configurations, from small desktops to large workstations or even huge servers.
The RA1181 comes with a built-in wireless network card which allows it to connect to any nearby Wi-Fi hotspot. You can use your laptop, tablet or smartphone as a remote control for the router, so you don’t have to stand around looking at it while working. The router’s Ethernet port supports 10/100/1000BaseT Ethernet connections. It also includes two USB ports for connecting external storage devices such as hard drives or flash memory cards.
The RA1181 is available in three versions: the basic model, the business version and the enterprise edition. The basic model costs $249.99 and works only with Windows operating systems. There is no option for Linux support either.
The business version costs $399.99 and adds support for several common Linux distributions, as well as the Android operating system. The enterprise version costs $699.99 and adds custom firmware, allowing the user to create his or her own distribution.
Which one is best for you?
Well, unless you have specialized needs or prefer a specific operating system, you should probably get the business version, because it costs only 100 dollars more than the basic model while adding support for three different operating systems. If you don’t need to support those operating systems, then the extra money is better spent elsewhere. For most users, however, the business version is the best value for your money.
