Bannon Drum Fan Review: Model 49905

Model 49905 is a brand name of the company DuraFan. They have been producing high quality products since 1993. Their first product was a drum fan with a diameter of 24 inches (61 cm). Since then they introduced various models, which were designed to meet different needs and requirements.

These include the model 5005, 5006, 5011, 5100, 5101 and 5210. The main features of these models are their high efficiency, low noise level, good cooling capacity and long life span.

The most interesting thing about Model 49905 is its price tag. For around $200 USD you get a unit with a maximum speed of 3,000 rpm and a minimum rotation speed of 1 RPM. This means that it will spin at least three times faster than any other drum fan available today! To put things into perspective, the average household refrigerator rotates at only 0.8 revolutions per minute (rpm) and the average air conditioner operates at only 2.4 rpm.

A typical desktop computer runs at around 400 to 800 rpms. So if you want a drum fan that spins at over 10,000 rpm, you’re going to need some serious horsepower!

In addition to being extremely powerful, Model 49905’s performance is also very efficient. According to the manufacturer, “the energy consumption of this motor is less than one watt”. This means that this drum fan can potentially save hundreds of dollars in energy costs over the course of a year!

In terms of noise level, the manufacturer states that it can generate sound pressure levels (SPL) between 65 and 70 decibels. This is pretty impressive considering a typical air conditioner can generate between 60 and 80 decibels! Also, it is worth mentioning that the fan blades of this machine are made out of wood. This is an unusual choice of material for such a powerful machine.

However, compared to other materials, wood is lighter and it does not expand or contract due to changes in heat.

One thing I really like about Model 49905 is that it comes with a five-year motor warranty. Now you would think that such a powerful machine would be able to run non-stop. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Due to its powerful nature, the fan may start to vibrate when it is not in use.

This vibration can cause the motor bearings to become damaged. When this happens, the motor will no longer function. So make sure to give your drum fan regular rest periods.

As you might expect, a drum fan with these specifications requires an electrical input of at least 700 watts. The unit itself weighs around 15 pounds (7 kg). And it can be used outdoors because it comes with its own weatherproof housing.

In my opinion, this is the best floor standing drum fan on the market right now. It has everything you need for effective ventilation and it’s priced reasonably. There is no other option that even comes close to this product!

Bannon Drum Fans: The Company

Bannon fans have been around for more than 30 years and they are well known for their quality and reliability. The company manufactures a wide range of commercial exhaust fans. These include roof exhaust fans, wall exhaust fans, window exhaust fans and even unit heaters.

Bannon is a trustworthy brand that aims to provide the commercial market with durable and energy efficient products. In fact, this company boasts that its rooftop drum exhaust fans last up to 5 times longer than other brands. They also claim that their exhaust fans use up to 70% less energy than traditional ceiling fans and that they can save you over $200 in energy costs over a five year period!

When it comes to residential drum fans, this company doesn’t have too much competition. There are some other brands that make drum fans, but these only come with 2-speed settings. This means that they aren’t very powerful. In my opinion, a residential drum fan just isn’t going to be as effective at ventilating a room as a more powerful commercial exhaust fan.

In conclusion, if you want the best quality and you’re willing to pay a bit more for it, I highly recommend a Bannon drum fan. These fans are built to last and they come with a 5-year full parts and labor warranty. You really can’t go wrong with this trusted brand!
